Pakistan
National Shipping Corporation today has acquired its second modern
double hull Aframax oil tanker named “LAHORE” for its subsidiary
company, M/s. Lahore Shipping (Private) Limited.
The M.T
Lahore is a 107,018 deadweight, double hull Aframax oil tanker built in
July 2003 by Imabari Shipbuilding Company, Japan. The vessel has been
purchased from a company owned by M/s Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. -
Greece.
The
acquisition of M.T. Lahore is in line with PNSC’s commitment to
modernization, development and strengthening of the national flag
carrier of Pakistan.
M.T.
Lahore is part of the extensive plans underway for modernization of PNSC
fleet through induction of modern ships to serve Pakistan’s trade and
also of the world at large. |
