SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT - PROTECTION POLICY

Protection Policy

The Management expects all its employees and the Personnel Manning all vessels wholly or partly owned by PNSC, to be fully aware of their responsibility for their own and overall health and the protection of the environment.

The Aims of the Policy are:-

• To protect the health and safety of all employees and other persons.
• To conserve the environment.
• To avoid damage to property.

IN ALL ACTIVITIES PNSC EMPLOYEES WILL AIM TO:-

• Eliminate work related injuries and illness.
• Prevent Pollution and protect environment.
• Comply with all relevant legislation and international conventions in both letter and spirit.

The Management:-

• Believes all injuries on board can be prevented by necessary standards of safety consciousness, personal discipline and individual accountability.
• Will promote measures to improve employees� health and safety both ashore and on board ships.
• Will keep employees fully informed of known or potential hazards that might affect them.
• Will use their best effects to prevent accidents and minimize harm from accidents that may happen.
• Requires the commitment of all employees to safe operating practices and to work towards the elimination of personal accidents and unhealthy practices
