Chief Executive's Message

CEO

Syed Jarar Haider Kazmi

Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) PNSC plays an essential role in meeting Pakistan's domestic demand for imported crude oil through seaborne trade primarily from the Middle East and in facilitating the exchange of dry bulk commodities across the globe.

While recognizing the influence of international freight indices and the global economic outlook on its performance, PNSC remains steadfast in its commitment to providing efficient and reliable maritime transportation services.

As the CEO of PNSC, I'm often surprised by how few people understand the vast potential of ship owning in Pakistan. Our industry has tremendous room for reform, enabling Pakistani shipping companies to compete globally if a level playing field is available.

Despite challenges, PNSC is open for Public Private Partnership in order to tap the opportunities available for entrepreneurs, particularly having strength and deep understanding of cross-border trade and willing to diversify and expand vertically and horizontally.

Being truly international, a shipping business model provides a built-in hedge, as it fetches revenue in foreign currency while most of our expenses are in the local currency. This gives a strong advantage in a hyper-inflationary economy.

At PNSC, we are not just focused on building a resilient business we are committed to building the future of Pakistan’s maritime trade. As a trusted and reliable partner, we strive to offer expertise, vision and execution strength that delivers results.

As the nation’s sole shipping carrier, we remain steadfast in our commitment to connecting Pakistan with global markets, facilitating trade, and driving economic progress. With resilience, innovation, and the dedication of our talented team, we are well positioned to overcome future challenges and embrace emerging opportunities.

We warmly welcome investors to join us in shaping the future of maritime trade in Pakistan. Your continued trust and support inspire us as we chart a course toward a stronger and more sustainable tomorrow.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our valued strategic partners including financial institutions, refineries, shippers, agents, business associates and shareholders for their unwavering support. I also wish to acknowledge and appreciate the tireless efforts of our employees, whose dedication remains central to our journey toward a sustainable future.
